Differences Between the Original and Current “1,001” Lists

The version of the list I am working with for my purposes is the original (2006) edition of “1,001 Books to Read Before You Die.” However, editions were released in 2008, 2010, and 2012 which contain some differences from the original – books were added and removed over time, changing the list fairly significantly. Reading books which have been included on any of the four would give you 1,306 books to read before you die! The core list, containing only books which have remained on the list for every released version and never been removed, contains 708 books. For links to reviews and an overview of my personal progress, see the full original list.
